JP Brand Primary School

We believe that education has the greatest impact on enhancing an equal society. These children are the future of Namibia and can help the country to grow and prosper. Therefore we are committed to support JP Brand Primary School, a rural boarding school in the Namib Desert, east of Walvisbay. The school was built in 1979 for the children of the Topnaar, a local Nama tribe, but was eventually nationalised and converted into a boarding school. Nowadays also children from other groups of the population, such as Herero, Ovambo and Damara, are taught here in a variety of subjects. By improving educational facilities and living circumstances at the school, we aim to help the children realising their dreams and aspirations. We assist the school in construction work, educational equipment and housing facilities.
