Day 4,Onguma Tented Camp, Onguma Game Reserve

You can look forward to a day of exciting game viewing. Etosha is Namibia's most famous national park and one of the highlights of the country. The Etosha Pan and the area that would later become the Etosha National Park was first discovered by the European explorers Charles Andersson and Sir Francis Galton in 1851. Today the park covers an area of 22 270 km2. The appeal of the Etosha National Park lies its contrast of wide open grasslands mixed with woodlands of Camelthorn and Mopani trees. This diverse vegetation accounts for the abundance of wildlife that thrives in the park.

The historic San settlement has been built next to the present day village and offers visitors an authentic insight into the traditional culture and the original way of living of the San.
