Namibia is awe-inspiring from every angle, but if we had to choose one way to marvel at its vast and varied landscapes, it would be from a small plane high up in the skies.

For the next seven days, you will swap four wheels for two wings and traverse Namibia on a series of short flights. Explore the world’s oldest desert before swooping over the towering dunes of Sossusvlei to the Atlantic Coast, where you touch down briefly for a beach lunch in Swakopmund. Back in the air, you follow the Atlantic coastline and then head inland to the spectacular Hoanib Valley, home to desert-adapted giraffes, lions, and elephants. Here, you leave the plane behind and continue by vehicle through untouched landscapes and dry riverbeds to the award-winning Shipwreck Lodge, tucked away on the legendary Skeleton Coast. Your final flight takes you across the country’s interior back to Windhoek.

If you haven’t yet had your fill of Namibia’s enchanting landscapes and wildlife, you may extend your safari by two additional nights at the Etosha Heights Private Nature Reserve, bordering the renowned Etosha National Park.
